Director Systems Development -- Directed the activities of the Manufacturing Systems Department in developing strategy and implementing systems applications for the manufacturing functions of Springs Industries.
- Maintained direct communication with all levels of management within the company to ensure the system needs of the corporation were being properly addressed.
- Coordinated the activities of the Manufacturing Systems Department which consisted of 55 employees plus up to 20 contractors, including strategic and budget planning
- Coordinated the efforts of the development teams within the Manufacturing Systems Department in the installation of BPCS into the various divisions of the company.
- Maintained the legacy systems in manufacturing (Cincom and Consilium, plus custom applications) which resided on the following platforms: IBM AS/400, DEC, Tandem, IBM 3090, and IBM RS6000.
- Collaborated with other Systems Development Directors in establishing standards and procedures for the Information Systems area in an effort to reduce cost by consolidating functions and reducing the number of computing platforms.
